So…
I’ve finally got my act together and posted my first entry here.
What to post?
There’s a lot going on in the world today. One such story that really gripped me was found on the BBC about groups of HIV patients, doctors, researchers, and government leaders assembled to discuss rising mortality rates in continental europe; with emphasis placed on additional screening and testing of those considered to be low-risk or part of low-risk groups. They also called for earlier detection & primary care for those in high-risk groups like injection drug users and sex-trade workers.
I find it interesting that it has taken such a great length of time for research and governmental authorities to get together and talk about these issues.
Some have said that HIV/AIDS is our generation’s black death, and while I won’t argue about the veracity of those claims, it’s certainly within our technological and medical capability for us to contain and eliminate it… Provided we can see each other as people and not numbers.
My dear Giordano.
Cannot reach you on Skype. Tell me, when is the best time to do so?
Great fotos, keep them coming at a more rapid rate. Nice eye you have. Very personal.
Sorry to hear about the wall you have to build in order to deal with the poverty (shamefull isn’t it) and the “toilet you have to use”. It’s amazing how quickly views of the world changes.
Please stay safe and somehow stay connected.
Much love
Your father
