Remnants from Eagle-Picher’s mining operations

This handful of Lead Chat is the remaining particles from breaking apart lead from the sedimentary rock. There are hundreds of thousands of tonnes of this highly toxic rock piled into two and three storey mounds, some of which were hit by the recent F4 Tornado which ripped through Ottawa County, OK and scattered over the destroyed site of Picher.
